Posts and spacers arrive pre-drilled, so a properly tensioned run holds the 4-inch sphere spacing inspectors look for
Engineered for a Clean Cable Run
Pre-Drilled Posts
Line, corner, end and stair posts arrive drilled for 36" and 42" railing, so cable spacing is set before the first hole goes in the deck.
Continuous Top Rail Option
Two-piece brackets take the place of the post caps and carry the rail over the posts, so the top line runs unbroken and no fasteners show.
Color-Matched Spacers
Mid-run spacers are powder coated to match the rail and hold long runs straight, at 10 cable lines for 36" railing and 12 for 42".

FAQs
What is included with the kit?
The kit includes the top rail, the cable spacers, two brackets and the bracket screws. Cable and posts are sold separately, so you can order the exact lengths and post types your layout takes.
What is the difference between the Contemporary and Continuous top rail?
The Contemporary top rail stops and restarts at every post, with a cap on each post. The Continuous top rail passes over the posts on brackets that replace those caps, so the top line runs unbroken across the deck. Posts, cable and spacers are the same in both styles.
The Continuous rail and its brackets are stocked in Textured Black only.
Do stairs use different parts?
Stairs use the Universal Stair Kit, stair posts and the trimmable stair spacer. Those are Contemporary parts in both styles, because Deckorators does not make a continuous stair rail, so a deck with a Continuous top rail on the level runs still takes Contemporary parts on the stairs.
How many cables does one section take?
A 36" run takes 10 cable lines and a 42" run takes 12, set by the pre-drilled hole pattern in the posts and spacers. Cable is ordered by length rather than by section, from 5' to 50', since one cable can pass through several posts before it terminates.
How far can cable run before it has to be terminated?
Deckorators cable can run up to 50 feet before it has to be terminated, including around corners and down steps, because the posts are pre-drilled to let the cable pass straight through.
What colors is this kit available in?
Textured Black, Textured White, Textured Bronze and Textured Weathered Brown, all powder coated to resist scratches and corrosion. Posts, spacers and connector kits come in the same four finishes, so the run matches end to end.
