What is IG Frameless Glass Railing?

A minimalist glass system for decks that uses stainless spigots to hold ½" tempered panels without a bulky frame.

IG Frameless Glass Railing uses compact base spigots that clamp the glass, keeping views clear while meeting everyday deck needs at home. Homeowners often choose this system for a clean look, easy glass cleaning, and the option to add accent lighting later.

System components

Four parts make the system work on a deck: spigots, glass, connectors, and optional lighting.

Spigots (base mounts)

Compact stainless steel spigots clamp each panel and hide most of the hardware below the sightline for a floating look. Surface mount or core drill options work on many deck surfaces when installed by a pro.

Glass panels

Panels are ½" tempered, low iron glass for high clarity. Common panel widths range from 24" to 54", with heights sized for 36" or 42" rail builds. Edges are flat-polished for safety and a finished appearance.

Connectors & optional top rail

Glass-to-glass and glass-to-wall connectors create corners, ends, and inline runs. A slim top rail can be added when a handhold or design accent is desired.

Lighting kit (optional)

Plug-and-play LEDs tuck into each spigot for a subtle glow along the deck edge. The kit includes power, leads, and a handheld remote with Wi-Fi app control.

Materials & finishes

Marine grade stainless hardware and low iron glass keep the system looking sharp for years.

Spigots use 2205 stainless for strength and corrosion resistance. Connectors are 316 stainless. Hardware is available in polished stainless or a matte black PVDF finish. Panels use low iron glass to reduce the green tint and keep views bright and neutral.

LED lighting
