The cables run top to bottom, so there's nothing to step on, and the tensioning fittings sit under the bottom rail where small hands can't get at them.

This is the easiest cable system we sell. Panels show up with the stainless cable already routed through the top and bottom rails, so you're never stringing cable on site. Cut the panel to fit, drop the support rod into the cut end, set the tension.

You'll want a tension gauge, gripping pliers or a gripping adapter, and a cable cutter. Past that it's normal carpentry tools. Self-centering brackets handle the post connections, so you're not measuring every one.

Every product we carry is third-party evaluated to meet residential and commercial building requirements. We can provide a copy of the evaluation report so you can hand it straight to your inspector.

Tensioned to spec, sagging isn't an issue. Check your cable to the manufacturer's requirements and re-tension if it needs it.

It's one of the most common places we send it. Matte black and oil rubbed bronze suit most interiors, and vertical cable usually comes in under the other open stair infills.

Most codes want a graspable handrail on stairs on top of the guard. That's a separate part, and your specialist will put it on the quote.
